Masuri S. N.
Masuri was a teacher from 1941 and a school principal until his retirement in 1981. He started writing during the Japanese Occupation and was one of the founder members of Asas 50. In 1980, he was awarded the South-east Asian Write Award. A veteran poet, Masuri also writes short stories, drama scripts, essays and literary criticism. His publications include collections of poems such as Awan Putih, Warna Suasana, Bunga Pahit, Selagi Hayat Dikandung Badan and Curfew Ke Matahari Malam.
