N Palanivelu
Palanivelu has been an active writer since 1932. He is the author of several poems, short stories and plays, most of which were published in newspapers and magazines or broadcast over radio. His first collection of writing, Kavitai (poems) was published in 1947, and he has also published Kathal Kiliyum Tiyaga Kuyiham (short stories) and Kaliyin Nalivu (a play). He staged plays with themes of social reform in the late 30s and was awarded the Cultural Medallion for Drama in 1986.
